Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 3/14/24 from 4:20pm to 5:20pm. At the time of the inspection there were 12 children in care and 2 staff members. Children were observed participating in various activities including center play, homework and pick up. Records were reviewed for five children and three staff members. Evacuation drills, emergency supplies and other required records and postings were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside shall be maintained in a safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. A children?s table in the program has jagged and splintering edges on one corner.
2. Staff #1 confirmed the table has the jagged and splintering edges.
Plan of Correction: Ms. Duke stated she will speak to the school about switching out the table.
