A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

All staff who work directly with children shall complete within the first 90 days of employment Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. Staff #1, employed for one year, did not have Preservice training.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure staff complete preservice training.

REPEAT VIOLATION, SYSTEMIC VIOLATION
All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in CPR appropriate to the ages of children in care. Staff #1, employed for one year, did not have current CPR training appropriate to ages of children in care.
