During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on 7/17/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:45 am and ended at 11:45 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were (27) children present and (6) staff. The inspector reviewed (4) children?s records and (3) staff records on-site.

This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center is required to keep a current list of all known allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in each room or area where children are present. The list must be dated and kept confidential.
There was one child at the center that has known allergies. Two of the three classrooms did not have a written list of children's allergies in the classroom.
Plan of Correction: The allergy list will be posted in each classroom and kitchen.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Staff shall wash hands with soap and running water before and after a diaper change.
Staff #2 did not wash hands before or after changing a child?s diaper.
Plan of Correction: The staff member will be reminded of proper hand washing when diapering.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering surface shall be cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.
Staff #2 was observed changing diapers, she did not clean the diaper changing surface or sanitize the surface in between changing 3 different children.
Plan of Correction: The staff member will be reminded to clean and sanitize the surfacing between each diaper change.
