Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 07/27/2023. There were 25 children, ages 3 months-2years, and 8 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed during diapering, handwashing, free choice activities, and lunch; infants were observed being fed and sleeping on demand. A total of 5 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following: group size, physical plant, and indoor play equipment. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8:45 am and departed at 11:30 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on staff interviews, the center failed to ensure that crib sheets shall be clean and washed daily.

Evidence: The staff in the infant group stated that the crib sheets are supplied by the parents and are sent home to be washed weekly.
Plan of Correction: Crib sheets will be sent home daily and parents will be asked to supply extras.
