Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 9:15am and 10:10am. There was 1 classrooms observed with a total of 11 children with 2 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed arriving for the day, changing into their school shoes and washing hands, playing in small group centers while their classmates arrived, circle time and practicing a fire drill. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and interview, each staff has not completed orientation training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within the first 30 days of employment.
Evidence: Staff #5 (date of hire: 10/15/2022) record does not contain documentation of CPR/first aid orientation. Program management confirmed that the staff had not completed the training.
Plan of Correction: We will get the training done.

Based on observation, records were not treated confidentially.
Evidence: The Supplemental Page from the most recent inspection was posted for the public to view. The Supplemental Page states that it is confidential information and clearly states "DO NOT POST"

Based on record review and interview, there was not at least two staff members with current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) present on the premises during the center's hours of operation.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2's most recent CPR/first aid training expired 12/10/2022.
2. Staff #4's most recent CPR/first aid training expired 12/10/2022.
3. Staff #5 has not yet completed CPR/first aid training.
4. Center management confirmed that there are no staff on-site with current CPR/first aid training.
Plan of Correction: We will get scheduled to renew the training.
