Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on January 19, 2024 with the center director and staff. There were 67 children present, ranging in ages from 6 months to 5 years, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 7 child records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The children were having lunch and settling down for rest time.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and staff interview, the facility failed to maintain a written record of attendance in each classroom. Evidence: the attendance record in the toddler room indicated there were 14 children in attendance, but 15 children were actually present. Staff stated that one child was visiting the classroom and had not been added to the attendance record.
Plan of Correction: Attendance records will be updated as children transition in and out of the classroom.
