Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was initiated on April 21, 2022 and concluded on April 26, 2022. There were twenty-eight children present, ranging in ages from two years to five years, with four staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records a three staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
6Evidence: In the 3's room, there is peeling paint on the baseboards, lower door frame and window sill.
Evidence: Spray Disinfectant labeled "Caution....keep out of reach of children" was stored on the sink counter in the hall women's restroom that is used by children.
Evidence: At approximately 12:15 PM, one staff was present with eleven children in the 2's classroom. Child #3, age two years, was the youngest in the group.
Evidence: The following was observed:
1. A child's lunch box and a piece of child art was laying on the diapering surface in the play room.
2. The diaper disposal system in the two year old room required staff to push the button to open the lid.
Evidence: While children were outside playing, the first aid kit was stored on the outside steps used to enter the building. A child was observed picking up the first aid kit. The kit was accessible to children.
Evidence: At approximately 12:15 PM, twenty-eight children were observed present and twenty-two children were noted on the attendance sheet.
