8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS

Inspector Notes

An initial subsidy inspection was conducted on 4/18/24 from 9:15 am to 10:30 am. There were 4 children (9 points) in care with the provider. 1 caregiver's record, 4 household member's records, 4 children's records, emergency preparedness plan, first aid supplies, materials and equipment for children's use were reviewed to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations. A walk through of the home was conducted. The Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Based on observation, the diapering surface was not non-absorbent, and was not cleaned and sanitized after each use.
Evidence:
1. The diaper pad has a cloth cover.
The diaper pad was not cleaned and sanitized after a child was changed during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The cloth cover was removed during the inspection. A soap & water solution will be prepared for the cleaning, a disinfectant solution will be used for sanitizing.
