Inspector Notes
A complaint inspection was conducted on 12/06/2023. The investigation included observation, review of documentation and staff interview. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of programming and food service.
A preponderance of evidence gathered did not support the allegation of unacceptable bottle feeding practices.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with an applicable standard and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was reviewed with the provider during the exit interview.

Based upon interviews, the facility has not ensured that infants are allowed to sleep as needed.
Evidence:
Staff interviews revealed that there is a designated two hour nap time for the infants and staff attempt to get all infants on a routine to sleep during the designated time as opposed to sleeping as needed at other times of day.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Infants are allowed to sleep as needed. The nap time is for those infants who are preparing to transition to the toddler room where there is one designated two hour nap time after lunch. All staff will receive training regarding sleep schedules for infants and how to discuss schedules with each infant's parents.
