Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on June 10, 2022 and concluded on June 10, 2022. On June 10, 2022, the licensing inspector was onsite from approximately 9:00 am until 11:05 am. The director assisted with the inspection. There were 67 children present, ranging in ages from five months to five years, with 14 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and seven staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:

A canister of stainless steel cleaner was observed unlocked, on top of the refrigerator in the infant classroom.
Plan of Correction: Per the administration: The cleaner was left by the cleaning crew. We will address it with them and staff will check upon opening to ensure all cleaning items are locked in their storage place. The cleaning material was removed from the classroom and locked away while the inspector was on site.
