Inspector Notes

This renewal inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 07/08/2024, between the hours of 9 am to 1:30 pm. There were 63 children present, ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 13 staff supervising; across 4 classrooms. The children were engaged in the following: centers within their classroom, birthday cake project, circle time, story lime, learning, discovery, infant nap time, diaper changing, bathroom breaks, hand washing, and other organized activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children files, and 15 staff files were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

Based on review, the center does not have in place a staff member who has satisfactorily completed a training program to safely perform a specific medication administration practice.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (07/08/2024), a certificate of completion for MAT Auvi-Q was not available for review.
2. Currently, Child #6 has an Auvi-Q on site to be administered on an as needed basis.
Plan of Correction: Corrected on the date of inspection. At least one staff person has become certified in this training.
