Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interview, and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 10/28/2021 and concluded on 10/28/2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 43 children present, ranging in ages from 1 year to 6 years, with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed.

Based on documentation review and staff interview, the facility failed to have a staff member with the appropriate Medication Administration Training caring for any child for whom emergency medications have been prescribed. Evidence: Child 1 has an emergency rectal medication on site, but there are no staff certified in Medication Administration Training - Rectal Medications.
Plan of Correction: Staff will obtain Medication Administration Training - Rectal Medications as soon as possible.
