During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on June 4, 2025 and the inspection concluded on June 5, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:30 a.m. and ended at 1:30 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records, 4 staff records, and one licensee record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-245-J-1
Whenever the center has agreed to administer prescribed medications, the administration shall be performed by a staff member who has satisfactorily completed a training program for this purpose approved by the Board of Nursing (Medication Administration Training or MAT). There was one emergency medication on site, but none of the staff have Medication Administration Training.
Plan of Correction: Center staff will obtain Medication Administration Training as soon as possible.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-E
The center shall ensure that procedures for administering medication shall include methods to prevent use of outdated medication. The emergency medication for one child expired
5/21/2025 , but was accepted by center management on 5/23/2025.
Plan of Correction: The medication will be returned to the parent and a current medication will be provided. Until MAT training is obtained, the medication will be held on site for emergency services.
