Inspector Notes

An on-site monitoring inspection was conducted on November 17, 2021 and concluded on November 23, 2021. On November 17, 2021, the licensing inspector was onsite from approximately 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm. The director assisted with the inspection. There were 39 children present, ranging in ages from seven years to eleven years, with five staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and five staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of staff records and interview, the center did not ensure there was always at least one staff member on duty who had obtained instruction in performing daily health observation training within the last three years.

Evidence:

Out of the five staff on site, no one had documentation of daily health observation training within the last three years. The director confirmed staff did not have daily health observation training.
Plan of Correction: Per the director: I have registered for a class at the end of this month.
