Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an in person tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 29, 2022 and concluded on July 7, 2022. There were 16 children present, ranging in ages from 2 months to age 5 years with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of staffing and supervision and staff qualifications and training. A total of 2 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, record review and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure the staff-to-children ratio one staff or every four children for infant children was followed.

Evidence: Between 11:00 am and 11:19 am on June 29, 2022 there were five infants in the infant classroom with one staff. Child # 1, age 2 months old was the youngest in the classroom and the oldest was 17 months old. The second staff person (staff # 3) assigned to the infant room was observed in the kitchen, preparing and serving lunch.
Plan of Correction: The goal is to have a staff member designated for preparing breakfast, snack and lunch by July 8, 2022.

Based on observation, record review and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure the staff-to-children ratio one staff for every five children for ages 16 months to 24 months was followed.

Evidence: Between 11:00 am and 11:25 am on June 29, 2022 there were eleven children in the toddler/ preschool classroom with one staff. Child # 2, age 23 months old was the youngest in the classroom and the oldest was age 5. The assigned assistant, staff #4 for the classroom was observed in the kitchen, preparing and serving lunch.
