Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an in-person component. A monitoring was conducted on 03/28/21. There were 4 children present with 1 staff. inspection. There were (#) children present and (#) staff. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and interview the center did not ensure all supervision requirements were met.
Evidence:
When the inspector arrived around or about 12pm, there was only 1 staff member in the building with 4 children napping. There was not a second staff in the building or immediately available.
Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by an Owner:
The owner did not realize 2 people needed to be in the building during nap. The second staff member was in her car in the parking lot, however was on break at the time. Schedules will be rearranged to ensure there are always two people immediately available.
