Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe condition. The children were sleeping in the preschool classroom without sufficient lighting, which prohibited adequate supervision.

Plan of Correction: Response from the center:
The concern was corrected on site while the inspector was present. Staff will ensure sufficient lighting at all times, including during rest periods and lighting will be monitored daily by administration to support proper supervision.

Children under 10 years of age always shall be within actual sight and sound supervision of staff. The staff supervising was cleaning in another area of the classroom and did not have sight of all the children.
Plan of Correction: Response from the center:
The issue was corrected immediately while the inspector was present. Staff were remined that children must remain within sight and sound supervision at all times. Cleaning tasks will be scheduled during nap time with proper positioning or outside instructional hours to ensure ongoing compliance.
