Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from12:25pm until 3:05. There were 100 children present with 19 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 child records and 8 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the playground resilient surfacing did not comply comply with minimum safety standards.
Evidence:
Under the rock climbing wall, there was a hole in the poured mulch approximately one foot by 6 inches where gravel was exposed.
Plan of Correction: The director has notified maintenance and they will be notified again. Cone will be placed around the area not to be used and staff will monitor.
