Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: Several spray bottles of cleaner were observed in cabinet under the sink in the Preschool 1 classroom. The cabinet was not locked.
Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked immediately once staff realized that it had been left unlocked. In order to prevent this from happening again, we gave coaching to the staff member on the importance of locking cabinets after use. We also followed up with our entire staff as a whole at our staff meeting the next evening on 8/1/2024.
