Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between 1:05pm and 1:50pm. There were child5 ren present with the Provider for a total of 14 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed taking a nap. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and caregiver records, evacuation drill log, menu, attendance and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Standard 8VAC20-800-770
Based on observation, a working portable battery-operated weather band radio was not available.

Evidence:
1. The portable battery-operated radio that the Provider had on site was not in working condition during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: I got new batteries and the radio is working now.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-E
Based on observation, bottles were not refrigerated and labeled with the child's full name and date when more than one infant is in care.

Evidence:
1. There were 2 bottles for 2 different children in care that did not have the full name and date on them.
Plan of Correction: I will label all of the bottles with the full name and date everyday.
