Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 04/04/2024 from 9:30 am - 11:45 am. At the time of entrance there were 29 school age children in care with 6 staff.

A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. These violations were reviewed with administrative staff at the exit interview.

Based on record review and interview, the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence:
1. Staff 1 , hire date 09/06/2022 and staff 2 , hire date 06/20/2022, and staff 3 hire date, 07/13/2022, lack documentation of current certification in CPR.
2. Administrative staff confirmed that documentation was not available to demonstrate that staff 1 , staff 2 and staff 3 have current CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Staff 1, staff 2 and staff 3 will obtain current CPR and first aid certification.
