Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between the hours of approximately 9:45 am through 11:48 am. There were 5 children (10 points) with caregivers. 5 children's files and 3 staff/household member's files were reviewed.
The children were engaged in the following: breakfast, toy play, circle time, bathroom breaks, hand washing, and other organized activities. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. One crib, the physical space of the care area and the family home, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. There were no medications on site today.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations
4Evidence:
1) In the bathroom of the care area, there was an air freshener spray bottle in the shower inside a bucket on the floor ,and there was a bleach bottle and glass cleaner spray bottle inside the cabinet under the sink. The cabinet doors were not locked. 2) The provider confirmed the location of these cleaning agents and deodorizer.
Evidence:
1) One electrical outlet behind the book shelf to the right of the reading area and two electrical outlets behind the cabinet to the left of the reading area did not have protective covers. 2) The provider confirmed that these electrical outlets did not have protective covers.
Evidence:
1) The most recent fireplace inspection was dated 08/18/2020.
Evidence:
1) The record for Child #3 did not contain the policy number of the child's medical insurance.
