This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interview and a virtual tour of the home.

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on 07/27/2021 and concluded on 07/28/2021. There were 0 children present with 1 caregiver supervising. A monitoring inspection was also conducted on this date.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, the vendor did not ensure that within the first 90 days of employment or service all caregivers complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Evidence:
The record of caregiver #2 (start date: 7/6/20) had documentation Virginia Preservice Training dated 7/28/2021. The caregiver completed the training on the second day of the inspection.

Based on record review, the provider did not ensure to complete the annual health and safety update course.
Evidence:
The record of caregiver #1 (7/6/2020) had documentation of the annual health and safety update course dated 7/27/2021. The provider completed the training on the day of the inspection. The provider's previous annual health and safety training was dated 4/29/20.
