An unannounced non-mandated inspection to review staff records kept off-site was conducted on May 13, 2024.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Based on a review of staff records, the center failed to ensure that staff complete the Virginia Department of Education sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.

Based on a review of staff records, the center failed to obtain an annual minimum of 16 hours of training appropriate to the age of children in care for each staff.

Based on a review of staff records and interview, the center failed to ensure staff have the documentation to demonstrate that an individual possessed the education, certification, and experience required by the job position.
Evidence: At the time of hire of staff #1, hired 06/13/22, the record did not contain documentation of program leader qualifications. Administration reported that staff #1 was hired as a program leader. The record contained documentation of 14 hours of the required 24 hours of program leader qualifications.
