Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on June 1, 2022. There were twenty-nine children present with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, facility did not ensure children?s hands are washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.

Evidence: Children were observed sanitizing their hands before eating their afternoon snack and then participating in other table activities. Children did not wash their hands with soap and water or disposable wipes before and after eating their snack.

Based on observation, facility did not ensure when meals or snacks are served that they follow the most recent, age-appropriate nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States of Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Evidence: Children were served the option of goldfish crackers or cheezit crackers and water for their afternoon snack. A second food component was not served.
