Inspector Notes

An onsite code compliance inspection was conducted October 24, 2023. The inspection was initiated at approximately 9:20 AM and concluded at approximately 12:00 PM. There were 22 children present, ranging from 16 months to five years of age, with four staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of five children's records and five staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center did not establish and implement procedures for handwashing by staff and children before eating and after toileting and diapering.
Evidence:
The staff in the Toddler/Two Classroom was observed changing three diapers in a row. The staff did not wash her hands or the child's hands after each diaper change.
Plan of Correction: I will review with the staff when handwashing is required throughout the day for staff and children.
