Inspector Notes
An inspection was conducted today after the program obtained a change in the Building Evaluation and requested a modification of their license. The Inspector walked through the building and took measurements of the two rooms. The Program is planning to admit children 12 months but acknowledges they can only admit 18 children under the age of 2 and 1/2 years of age. The Inspector discussed room set up and consulted on hand washing and entrance to playground. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Based on observation, it was determined that areas and equipment of the center, inside, have not been maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
1. Inspector observed two rooms that have been partially renovated. In one room, the Inspector found the frame around one exit door does not have floor molding which exposes splintered/cracked cement pieces.
2. In the second room which was occupied with children, the Inspector observed all the window blind's cords were looped and not secured up on a hook. The loops pose a hazard to a child if any of the loops becomes wrapped around a child.

Plan of Correction: We will tighten and tie up the cords and then hang on hooks to avoid an issue. We will have molding installed at the bottom of the door way.
