Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an in person component, including email contacts, documents review, interviews and an in person tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/22/2022 and concluded on 2/22/2022. There were 25 children present, ranging in ages from 3 months to 5 years, with 7 staff supervising. The children were observed working on matching, math and stories. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The fenced in playground was observed and presently is being renovated. There was no medication on site today. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of staff records, the day care center has not obtained a copy of the results of a criminal history record information check, a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: Staff #1, date of hire 2/1/2022 does not have documentation of a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from the state of Maryland and New York.
Staff #2, date of hire 8/2/2021 does not have documentation of a criminal history record information check, a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from Arizona and a a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from North Carolina.
Plan of Correction: The proper documents will be completed and mailed, once processed and received the document results will be emailed to the Licensing Inspector for proof of documentation.
