Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-E
Based on review of medication and authorization to administer medication the center failed to ensure authorization to administer met requirements.

Evidence:
The emergency medication for child #1 had only the parental authorization that was dated August 10, 2023. Parental authorization is only good for 10 days. There was no long term authorization document from the physician, and the parent had not renewed every 10 days as required.
Plan of Correction: The parent will renew the authorization every 10 days, or a physician long term authorization will be obtained.
