Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/13/23 and concluded on 12/13/23. There were 10 children present with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 2:45pm and concluded at 3:45pm.

The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of medication the center failed to ensure that medication had not expired as required.

Evidence:
The medication (Benadryl) for child A had expired as of 02/2023. This medication was in the active medication box to be administered in case of allergic reaction.
Plan of Correction: The medication will be sent home and another one provided by the parent.
