Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on May 18, 2022 and concluded on May 18, 2022. There were seven children present with three caregivers supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not ensure caregivers completed Virginia preservice training for child care staff within the first 90 days of employment or service

Evidence:

The record of caregiver #3, hired 11/05/2021, had documentation of completion of the Virginia preservice training dated 04/05/2022 exceeding 90 days from employment.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will ensure caregivers complete the Virginia preservice training within the require time frame.
