Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on 06/05/2023 and concluded on 06/05/2023. There were 38 children present, ranging in ages from 7 months to 7 years, with 6 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 8 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that pillows were not used by children under two years of age.

Evidence:
1. LI observed children under age of 2 years with "sleep sacks" that include pillows. The youngest child was age 15 months.
2. Staff 8 confirmed child's age and that the child had a pillow with the "sleep sack".
Plan of Correction: I will contact the parent's to let them know that they cannot have the "sleep sacks" for the children until they turn 2 years old. I will send them all home with them today and ask for new sleep stuff.
