Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on January 12, 2023. There were nine
children present with two caregivers supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector.

Based on review of documentation, the provider did not ensure all caregivers completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education, within the first 90 days of employment.

Evidence:

The record of caregiver #2, employed 05/09/2022, contained documentation of completion of the Virginia Preservice Training dated 10/14/2022 exceeding 90 days after employment.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: The required Virginia preservice training will be obtained within 90 days of employment going forward.
