Inspector Notes
An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted on July 27, 2022, to determine the center's compliance with subsidy standards. The inspection began at 10:45AM and concluded at 12:10 PM. There were 17 children present, with 5 staff supervising. The center's director was available to answer questions throughout the inspection. During the tour, the inspector observed the children watching a movie and playing with age appropriate toys. The inspector observed all 5 classrooms, outside play area, kitchen and restrooms. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. A total of 5 child records, and 5 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
