Centers shall have a posted daily schedule that allows for flexibility as children's needs require. On January 22, 2026, in the toddler classroom, the posted daily schedule was not being followed by Staff 1 and 2. Staff stated they were not following the schedule because they were working with a new child. Staff 1 was on the floor with 9 children and Staff 2 was standing to the side watching the children. Neither staff were observed working with the child and this child was standing in the room crying.
Plan of Correction: The Director and Staff 1 & 2 were placed on written warning due to not following the posted daily schedule. Staff were reminded that when a child is new or distressed, one staff member must be directly engaged with and supporting that child while the other maintains supervision of the remaining children. The importance of providing comfort and assistance to crying children was reviewed. the CD& AD will conduct periodic classroom observations to ensure schedules are being followed, and children are actively supervised and supported. Staff will be reminded that when working with a new child, one staff member must be actively engaged with that child while the other maintains direct supervision and interaction with the remaining children.
