Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 25, 2023 from 3:00pm- 4:32 pm. At the time of entrance, 38 children were in care with 7 staff members present. Additional staff was present to assist. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 4 staff records. Children were observed freely playing, eating snack and schoolagers working on homework. Inside and Outside were inspected during the inspection.

Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure the resilent surfacing shall comply with the minimum standards.

Evidence:
During the inspecton there were areas on the playgrounds that did not meet requirement of 6 inches of resilent surfacing in fall zones. Person in charge confirmed she was in the process of having more mulch put on the playground.
