Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 03/13/2023. There were 32 children, ages 2 months-9 years, and 8 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed during breakfast, free choice activities, and participating in learning activities; infants were observed eating and sleeping on demand. A total of 5 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with the staff: infant nutrition and training. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8: 25 am and departed at 11:00 am.

A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements not cover in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable subsidy requirements and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on document review, the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment a current certification in CPR.

Evidence: The record for Staff 1 contained a documented hire date of 11/03/2022. Staff 1 does not have a current certification in CPR.
Plan of Correction: Will get enrolled in a class.
