Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/29/2021 and concluded on 09/30/2021. The owner was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 12 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the owner a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on interview, the facility did not have a qualified director on site.

Evidence:
Staff A stated the program director was not in the center consistently for the past two weeks.
Plan of Correction: We will hire one very soon.

Based on interview, the facility did not have a complete first aid kit.

Evidence:
The first aid kit was missing 2 of 2 required triangle bandages.
Plan of Correction: Items were added and corrected.
