Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/04/2022. 10 children were directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical space, 3 children's records, 2 new staff records, attendance, evacuation drills, the Emergency Preparedness Plan and required posted documents were reviewed. No medications were on site. Children were observed napping and engaging with the staff. Age appropriate materials were available in all classrooms. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the program. Based on record review and interview with the director, the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course was not completed within 90 calendar days of employment. Evidence: Staff A was hired 6/28/2022. As of today, 10/04/2022, the orientation course was not completed.
Plan of Correction: The teacher will complete the training right away.
