Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the provider from 9:05 am to 9:45am. There were no children present during this inspection. One child's file was reviewed. There have been no injuries/accidents or medications on site. The areas of non compliance are outlined on the violation notice.

Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the diapering surface used to change children's diapers was not an nonabsorbent surface.
Evidence:
The diapering pad used for changing was made of cloth.
Plan of Correction: I will use a non absorbent diapering area.
Standard 8VAC20-800-790
Repeat Violation:
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that telephone numbers shall be posted in a visible area close to the phone.
Evidence:
A 911 or local number for police and the number of the person to provide emergency backup care was not posted.
Plan of Correction: I will post these numbers.
