Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on 5/21/2025 and completed on on the same date. The inspection started at 12:15 and concluded at 1:00pm. There was 1 child present and 1 caregiver; the point total was 2. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household members records during this inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Repeat Violation.
A child's file shall include the following, an emergency contact and Physicians information.

2 children are missing emergency contacts and 1 child is missing the physicians information.
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents for the information.
Standard 8VAC20-790-270-A
Repeat Violation.
Potentially poisonous substances, materials, and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children.

The vendor had Vitamin supplements and cleaners accessible in the space used for care.
Living room and dining area.
Plan of Correction: I have removed it all during the inspection and will make sure I keep it in my room or in the hall closet. I will add a hook and latch to the closet or another kind of locking mechanism.
