Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an onsite tour of the program.

A renewal inspection was initiated on December 2, 2021 and concluded on December 2, 2021. There were 43 children present, ranging in ages from two years to five years, with 11 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and five staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure that all hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
In the cabinet located in classroom #1, two containers of Cascade, labeled "Caution,? and "Keep out of reach of children," one container of Comet, labeled ?Keep out of reach of children,? and ?Caution,? one container of 409 cleaner, labeled ?Keep out of reach of children,? and ?Caution.? In the closet in classroom #4, one container of Clorox cleaner, labeled ?Keep out of reach of children,? and ?Warning.?
