Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring was conducted on October 25, 2022 from approximately8:40am- 12:39pm. There were 33 children present upon arrival with 7 staff members. Additional administrative staff were present. Children were observed playign in stations, eating morning snack and freely playing .Three staff records and 4 children records reviewed . Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, emergency evacuation and sheltering-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on staff interview and document reviewed, the licensee did not ensure the center had written procedures for prevention of shaken baby syndrome or abusive head trauma, including coping with crying babies, safe sleeping practices, and sudden infant death syndrome awareness.

Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure when centers choose to provide meals or snacks they shall follow most recent age-appropriate nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period should be proivded to parents and/or posted.

Evidence: During the inspection there was not a menu posted for one week. The children were observed eating confetti cake muffins for morning snack . Morning snack needs be at least 2 componets and meet USDA requirements.
