Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between 12:10pm and 1:10pm. There were 3 children present with the Provider for a total of 7 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing freely and transitioning to naptime. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. The provider is not MAT training to administer medications and stated that there are no medications kept on-site. Violations were found during todays inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, documents required by the Superintendent were not posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
Evidence: The most recent inspection of the family day home was not posted.
Plan of Correction: Most recent acknowledgement form was posted during the inspection. I will be sure to print the inspection to hang on the wall.
Standard 8VAC20-800-900-B
Based on observation, children were allowed to drink while walking.
Evidence: Child #1 was observed walking around the family day home drinking from a bottle filled with orange juice.
Plan of Correction: I will move the bottles and cups out of their reach so that they can't take them when they're not sitting down to eat.
