8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/25/2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. One child was present with the provider. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, and 3 children?s records and 1 staff record was reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Based on provider interview and review of the attendance record, the provider has not maintained a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence: The provider stated she had five school age children in care this morning and no children were listed on the attendance record at the time of inspection. The provider stated she usually updates the attendance when she returns home after taking the children to school.
