Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted today, December 19, 2023. The inspector was on site from approximately 8:30 am until 12:15 pm. The director was present and assisted in the inspection. There were 28 children present, ranging in ages from five months to five years, with six staff supervising. An additional three children were observed waiting for the school bus to pick them upon the inspector?s arrival. Children were involved in a variety of activities that included counting with cubes, identifying colors, and making paper angels. Diapering, lunch time and handwashing procedures were observed. Later the infants were observed playing on the mats with toys and being fed by staff. Interactions between staff and children were positive.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five
child records and eight staff records were reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The director requested a modification to the capacity of the center from 39 to 41. Measurements were taken and calculated for space that had been remodeled within the center.
