Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The children were observed during nap time. The inspection started at 11:50 am and concluded at 12:45 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined violations with applicable standards or law. Violations are identified on the violation notice.

Based on record review and staff interview the center did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration.

Evidence: The director confirmed that staff number 3's current certification (dated 11/7/2023) did not include an in-person competency demonstration.
Plan of Correction: Staff members will have in-person (CPR) by Jan. 20, 2024.

Evidence: The Director confirmed that staff #3?s First Aid certification had expired 6/18/2023.
Plan of Correction: Staff #3 will have it done by Jan. 20, 2024.
