Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 2/14/2024.There were 18 children present with 3 staff supervising and 1 administrator. The children were observed during classroom time engaged in a teacher led activity and during outside play time. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10 am and concluded at 11:35 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
(Repeat) Based on observation and staff interviews the center did not ensure for each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence: Staff in two out of the three rooms confirmed their attendance sheets had not been filled out documenting the arrival of the children that were already in care at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: I have corrected the violation already. Yesterday 2-14-24, I went to office max to make copies of updated attendance sheets for all classes. Each sheet includes the name and date along with time in and out for the teachers to document.
