Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on August 17, 2022. There were 65 children present, with 21 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care , staff records, emergencies and nutrition.

Standard 8VAC20-770-60-C-2
Based on review of staff records, 2 records did not contain a central registry finding within 30 days of date of hire (DOH).
Evidence
The record for staff #1 (DOH 5/22) and the record for staff #2 (DOH 6/20) did not contain documentation of a central registry finding within 30 days of date of hire.
Plan of Correction: I thought they were submitted after the last inspection, but I can't find the results. We will follow up and put the results in each record when received.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-D
Based on review of emergency procedures, the center did not implement a month practice evacuation drill every month.
Evidence
A monthly practice evacuation drill was not conducted in July.
Plan of Correction: Friday is our last day of camp, we will make sure to conduct a fire drill each month next summer.
