Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted July 14, 2022, to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection began at 10:33 AM and concluded at 12:20 PM. The census for today's inspection consisted of 63 children in care and 11 staff supervising. During the tour, the inspector observed the children playing outside, playing with age appropriate materials, eating lunch, participating with an onsite filed trip, and interacting with peers and staff. The inspector observed all 6 classrooms, playground, bus, kitchen, and restrooms. Staff was observed interacting with children in a positive manner and the inspector interviewed staff and children when time allowed. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage-appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The required postings were inspected and found to be in compliance. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. There were five children's and five staff records reviewed. There were violations cited during this inspection.

Based on record review and interview it was determined that the center did not include the following in the written record of children?s serious and minor injuries. Evidence: 5 of 5
records reviewed did not include the date or time when the parent was notified. 1 of 5 records
was missing the parent?s signature or two staff signatures.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure parent?s sign and date the injury report. I will keep a copy and give a copy to the parent.
